Extraction System (Hood)

If you have a commercial kitchen, it is essential housekeeping that Extraction Hood and Ducting systems be cleaned regularly. This reduces fire risk, and also ensures that the system is functioning optimally.

Aside from the general housekeeping issue, there are often local Council requirements and insurance requirements to have your system kept in optimal working order.

We provide an Extraction Cleaning Completion sheet with details of what was completed on your system and, any maintenance/housekeeping required.

Kitchen extraction hood and duct cleaning is the process of removing grease, fat and cooking residue build up that accumulates inside the ducts, hoods, fans and vents of exhaust systems.

Why? A build up of grease, fat and cooking residues reduces the efficiency of your exhaust system, increases your running costs, potentially taints the flavours of your food, and may harbour bacterial growth. Grease build ups in extraction hoods and ducting are extreme fire hazards.

How Often? How often an extraction system requires cleaning depends on your menu, your volume of cooking, and local council and insurance requirements. We can suggest a cleaning schedule of monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly or yearly, depending on your personal circumstances.

High Cleaning

High cleaning of walls and ceilings above two metres, including light fixtures etc.

Equipment Cleaning

We are able to recondition existing equipment and "bring it back to life".

Maintenance and cleaning of various kitchen items such as meat slicers, salamanders, ovens, hobs.
